Government Accountability

The Illinois Alliance for Growth exists to lobby for and promote policies that allow unfettered economic growth that lifts all boats.  In order for individuals and businesses to succeed, they need to stable, predictable environment upon which they can make the most rational decision possible to further their enlightened self interest.

Whether it be captured by special interests, using government’s monopoly on the legitimate use of force to putting their interests over the public’s interest, or run by government bureaucracies and politicians, putting their own interests ahead of those the purport to serve, government left to its own devices will not serve its sovereign — the public.

One way of ensuring that government does the right thing with our money is through holding it accountable.  The Illinois Alliance for Growth supports policies that put the rule of law ahead of the vagaries of politics; we demand transparency when others spend our money and we identify those in government who undermine our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

For our prosperity to grow all Illinoisans need fair and equal treatment under the law, honest government and the freedom to succeed in our endeavors.  

Three areas in which we hold government accountable:

1. Support of policies and legislation that provide greater transparency.

2.  Rate legislative, executive and legal actions as either anti-growth or pro-growth.

3.  Lobby for policies that shrink the size and scope of government as a means to promote individual liberty and fight corruption.
